Chapter 6: Remembering and finding out
Fionna’s POV:
The magic man gave me a potion and I drank it. Suddenly an image of the dungeons of the Nightosphere came to my mind. There were two cells which had written names: Catherine and Anthony. Who were they? Why this image came to my mind? I didn’t know but when I turned into a vampire I felt something strange.
“Everything is OK Fionna?” The magic man asked me.
“What? Oh yeah, everything is alright.” I answered.
“Well. I’ll give you this potion, when you don’t want to be a vampire anymore you just need to drink it and you’ll be a human again.”
“Thank you so much! See you.”
“Good bye.”
I walked back to the tree house, I wanted to float but I didn’t know how. The image of the dungeons was still on my mind. Who were Catherine and Anthony? I didn’t know.
When I arrived at the tree house it was midnight but Cake was still awake. I opened the door and she gave me a hug, a tight one. Thanks I didn’t need to breathe because if not I will be dead now.
“Cake…” I told her.
“Oh yes, sorry honey.” She told me and released me. “What do we do now?”
“Well, first I need a pencil and a bug of milk.”
“I’ll bring it!”
Cake went to the kitchen and came back with a pencil and a bug of milk. I took the pencil and draw the face on the wall, just like the first time. Then I threw the bug of milk to the wall, causing it to break and then I said some words. "Maloso vobiscum et cum spiritum!" The portal opened.
“Cake I need you to stay here, I need someone to look after the village while I’m away. Don’t tell anyone that I went to the Nightosphere, if somebody asks, I’m adventuring, alright?” I told her.
“Alright honey, but be careful!” She told me.
“I will. Bye Cake.” I told her as I walked across the portal. Everything was just like the first time I came here. I could see the castle but it was far away so I started running fast. I wish I knew how to float, it’ll make things easier. While I ran, I heard a voice saying my name. “Fionna, Fionna.” I didn’t know where it came from. “Fionna, Fionna.” I started following the sound of the voice. I walked very far away; I couldn’t see the castle anymore. Suddenly the voice stopped and I was in front of a very big door which said ‘Moonosphere’ I was going to open it when I remembered I had to save Marshall. I started running away fast and the voice appeared again “Fionna, Fionna.” I wanted to know who was calling me. What was that place called Moonosphere? Why someone was calling me? Who were Catherine and Anthony? I didn’t know... After a while I arrived at the castle. There weren’t any guards around so I entered. As I walked around I heard someone screaming but it suddenly stopped. Then Marshall’s mom and some guards came out of a room. They had bows and arrows, swords, knives and axes. Each one was covered with blood. “Marshall!” I thought. I hid behind a pillar and when I couldn’t see anyone I went to the room, for my luck one of the guards had left the key on the door. I opened it and I couldn’t believe what I was seeing. There, tied up and full of blood was Marshall. His shirt was all cut, it only covered his chest.
“Marshall!” I shouted and approached to him. He looked up and smiled.
“Hey Fi, what are you doing here? It’s dangerous. And why you’re a vampire?” He asked.
“Then I explain everything to you. Now I have to get you out of this place.” I grabbed my sword and cut all the chains that were around him. “Are you going to be OK?” I asked him worried.
“Of course, I have been worse before.” He answered and smiled. Damn, he had a beautiful smile. Why am I thinking this? I helped him to stand up and before anyone could see us we ran away to a room which had a portal. We crossed it and we were back in AAA. He took me to his house and when we arrived, he lie on his bed. He was still covered with blood so I went to his bathroom to look for something to take away all that blood. I found a bottle which said ‘Disinfect injuries’ so I thought that might help him. I grabbed some cotton too and went back with him.
“I need to disinfect all your injuries.” I told him.
“I’m alright Fi, you don’t need to.” He told me.
“Come on, I know you’re not.”
He laughed a little and sat on his bed. I smiled and passed the cotton with that liquid on his cheek which was cut. Then I passed some more on his arms.
“Ready, I’m fine.” He told me and put his arms around his chest.
“What are you hiding?” I asked.
“Uh, nothing.”
“So why do you cover your chest with your arms?”
“Umm, because yes. OUCH!” He shouted because he pressed one of his arms onto his chest. I knew he was hiding something.
“Marshall I knew you have something on your chest. If you don’t want me to see it, here you have. You pass it yourself.” I told him.
“Mmm no, you do it better.” He told me and took off his shirt, or what had left of his shirt. I blushed a dark shade of red. He laughed knowing why I was blushing. When I finished disinfecting all his injuries, I drank the potion the magic man gave me and I was a human again. Marshall looked at me confused and then said:
“You never told me why you were a vampire.”
“Oh well when you disappeared I know something bad was going on and you told me I couldn’t go to the Nightosphere because I was a human so I went to look for the magic man and he gave me a potion to become a vampire and another one to become a human again.” I told him.
“Well, that explains everything.” He told me and smiled. I smiled too and then yawned. “Looks like someone is tired.” He told me.
“Yeah, perhaps a little.” I said and lie on his bed, it was so comfortable.
“Alright you can sleep there.” He told me and smiled. I noticed that every time he smiled butterflies flew around my stomach. I thought I didn’t like him anymore but now I realize that yes. I still like him. When I was fifteen I liked him but then he disappeared. I thought that because of these years I wouldn’t like him anymore, but no, I still like him.
“What are you thinking Fi?” He asked.
“What? Oh, nothing.” I answered. We both stayed in silence for a while.
“Can I ask you something?” We both said.
“You go first.” I told him.
“Uh, do you still like Gumball?”
“What?! No. I don’t like him since I was 14. Why?”
“Uh, umm. J-just ask-asking.”
I looked at him a little confused. “Sure?” I asked.
“Well… Uh… There’s something I’ve wanted to tell you…” He told me.
“What is it?”
“Do you remember the day we first meet?”
“Pff, how to forget it.”
“Well umm, I’ve liked you since that day. I didn’t want to tell you because I knew you liked Gumball and I know you don’t feel the same but I needed to tell you.”
I blushed a dark red. I wanted to tell him the same! “And if I tell you that I feel the same” I told him and smiled. He looked at me and blushed. “Cool, I made the vampire king blush!” I teased.
“Shut up.” He told me.
I laughed and hugged him tight. We fell to his bed but he hugged back. After a while I had my head on his chest and he had his arms around me. I fall asleep like that but before he kissed my forehead and told me “Night Fi, I love you.” I smiled and answered “Night Marshy, I love you too.” What will Cake say about this? She never liked Marshall that much, but well I didn’t care. Then I remembered about that door which said ‘Moonosphere’ and about Catherine and Anthony. Who were they? I will ask Marshall about the Moonosphere, but I need to find out who are they.
